We returned to Carlsbad for our third Relay for Life which was really fun and a huge success!  This year’s Relay for Life theme was “Around the World” and our team represented Hawaii.  Our campsite was decorated with Hawaiian flowers and tiki torches.  We served POG juice, fruit cups, and baked treats at our bake sale.  We also had a table where you could make your own leis, hosted a SPAM tasting, were in charge of lap beads.  This year was very special for us because Travis spoke at the luminaria ceremony.  Because he is an inspiration to many and did such an amazing job with his speech, Travis was asked to read a poem at the closing ceremony too.
