We ventured up to Oceanside to volunteer for the afternoon in the garden of the Family Recovery Center.  The Family Recovery Center is a residential and outpatient treatment program that assists women who are recovering from substance addiction, while offering services to their children to promote healthy family growth. While there, we installed 70 feet of fencing abound the garden area, refinished the picnic tables, cleaned and planted in the planter beds, and spread 12 bags of mulch.  It was a great experience for everyone and there was nothing like seeing the joy on the patients’ faces as we were pulling away.  For more information, please visit http://www.mhsinc.org/listing/family-recovery-center-2/.
