Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation

Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation is a non-profit center whose mission is to preserve and protect the Agua Hedionda Lagoon as a healthy and accessible watershed. https://www.aguahedionda.org/

Our Faith and Works project was to improve two exhibits.  We built a new 4’x5’ cage for the zebra finches to allow plenty of room for them to spread their wings.  Piper the pig received a redo on his enclosure.  The metal posts and existing screen was removed.  16 new 15” holes were dug to make room for thicker wood posts made from treated cedar.  We mixed eight bags of concrete to set the posts.

These exhibits are used by 8,000 students annually through the Academy of Environmental Stewards, and 15,000 annual guests to the Discovery Center.
